Anthropic Opens Singapore Hub, Hiring for Finance and Product Roles

The Claude-maker is setting up its first Southeast Asian presence with four open positions in Singapore spanning accounting, product support, and economic research.

Anthropic, the San Francisco-based AI research firm behind the Claude model family, is planting its flag in Singapore. The company's careers page listed four open positions in the city-state on June 4 — spanning APAC head of accounting, product support specialists, and a regional research economist — signalling a serious operational commitment rather than just a sales outpost.
Why it matters for Singapore: Singapore continues to cement its position as the preferred Asia hub for frontier AI labs. Anthropic joins OpenAI and Google DeepMind, both of which already have local labs. With sovereign wealth fund GIC already among Anthropic's backers, the move deepens the city-state's role in the global AI supply chain — from research to regional operations.
