The 187,000-square-foot plant is expected to produce 10,000 units of Bitdeer's SEALMINER computing hardware each month and create 70 local jobs spanning engineering, skilled technician, and support roles.
Bitdeer, which runs global headquarters in Singapore and US headquarters in San Jose, California, said the facility represents its first domestic manufacturing and assembly footprint on American soil. The Singapore-based company operates advanced computing and technology centres across the United States, Norway, Bhutan, and Ethiopia, straddling both the AI and Bitcoin mining infrastructure segments.
The factory is slated for completion by the end of 2026 and will complement Bitdeer's existing data centres and innovation hub in San Jose. Paul Hanson, Chairman of Bitdeer Industrial, said the project strengthens the company's supply chain resilience while bringing manufacturing closer to onshore customers, a strategic move as geopolitical tensions continue to reshape global semiconductor supply chains.
