Broadridge Financial Solutions, a global fintech infrastructure provider with significant operations in Singapore, has joined Anthropic's Project Glasswing — a new industry initiative that applies frontier AI models to cybersecurity for critical financial infrastructure. The company will deploy Claude Mythos Preview, an unreleased frontier model from Anthropic, specifically for defensive security operations.

Project Glasswing brings together organisations that build or maintain software for critical financial systems, targeting the shared cyberattack surface that underpins global markets. Broadridge's participation marks the first major post-trade processing firm to join the initiative, signalling that AI-powered defence is moving from experimental to operational in financial services. Tim Gokey, CEO of Broadridge, said the partnership is about applying frontier AI to the company's own systems to stay ahead of emerging threats.

For Singapore's financial hub ambitions, the development is significant. Broadridge's Singapore office serves as a regional hub for APAC post-trade operations, and the island's financial institutions are some of the most active adopters of AI-driven compliance and risk tools globally. As cyber threats grow more sophisticated — particularly those targeting cross-border payment rails and clearing houses — the ability to deploy frontier AI models defensively becomes a competitive advantage for Singapore's financial ecosystem.

Why it matters for Singapore: Singapore is already a testbed for AI in finance, with MAS actively encouraging responsible AI adoption. Broadridge's involvement in Project Glasswing means the cybersecurity models protecting Singapore's financial infrastructure will benefit from Anthropic's latest unreleased frontier model — a capability that most jurisdictions won't have access to. For a market that processes trillions in FX, derivatives, and securities, this is a meaningful upgrade to the city-state's financial resilience posture.
