Separately, Sea Limited established an AI Centre of Excellence with support from Digital Industry Singapore, committing to at least 100 R&D roles in AI research, engineering, and product development over three years. The CoE will deepen Sea's suite of large language models tailored for Southeast Asian languages and e-commerce contexts, which already power Shopee features at a fraction of typical commercial LLM costs.
On the software and tools front, Swiss firm Sonar launched the SonarQube Remediation Agent — an AI-powered debugging tool developed in Singapore and built on AutoCodeRover, an LLM-based software engineering agent from NUS research that Sonar acquired in 2025. The tool automatically identifies code issues and applies fixes, addressing the operational risk that scales with AI-assisted code generation. KPMG launched a Trusted AI Centre of Excellence offering an AI Assurance framework that evaluates deployments across governance, systems, compliance, and security. Publicis Groupe set up an APAC AI development hub targeting a 20–30% reduction in manual campaign execution time through AI-powered creative optimisation and media planning. Temus launched an AI Foundry, adding 50 new roles in financial services and precision health while deepening its partnership with AI Singapore for joint prototypes and multilingual models.
