Google's Pixel Watch 5 Arrives in Singapore From S$569 With Gemini AI on the Wrist

Wearables have become the quiet frontier of AI adoption, and Google is betting that the wrist is where Gemini becomes indispensable. The Pixel Watch 5, unveiled alongside the Pixel 11 phones, lands in Singapore with a familiar design but a fundamentally more proactive operating philosophy: the watch now decides when to surface information, processes common requests on-device, and is even being trained to spot medical emergencies without the wearer asking.

The AI upgrades are the headline. At a Glance can push a boarding pass to the watch face when you reach the airport or show stops remaining on a commute, while Raise to Talk lets you lift your wrist and ask Gemini to start a workout or find a dinner reservation buried in Gmail, with common actions processed on-device and working offline. Gemini Intelligence Proactive Suggestions goes further, searching your calendar for the next family dinner and confirming responses with a double-pinch gesture. Under the hood sits Qualcomm's Snapdragon W5 Gen 2 Accelerated chip, which Google says makes the watch 20 percent faster overall.

Health is the other battleground. A new strength-training experience guides sets and rest periods from the wrist, while Google Health Coach builds routines around recovery data like sleep and heart-rate variability, though some coaching features sit behind the new Google Health Premium subscription. The most ambitious addition is Health Guardian, which uses sensors and on-device AI to spot a severe, sustained drop in oxygen saturation and can contact emergency services with the wearer's location if the wearer doesn't respond. For now it launches only in selected European countries.

Singapore pricing starts at S$569 for the 41mm and S$599 for the 45mm model, in Obsidian, Fog, Olive and Canyon finishes, with the Olive and Canyon 41mm variants exclusive to the Google Store. Pre-orders are open now, and the watch goes on sale from Aug 20 across Singtel, Starhub, Shopee, Lazada, Harvey Norman, Best Denki, Courts and Metapod. Battery life is rated up to 30 hours on the 41mm and 40 hours on the 45mm.
