NTT Data Deploys Cursor AI Platform to Accelerate Legacy System Modernisation

NTT Data is rolling out Cursor Enterprise, an AI-powered coding platform, across its global software engineering operations. The move positions the Japanese-owned technology services giant to dramatically accelerate enterprise legacy modernisation from its Singapore hub, embedding multi-model AI agents directly into its engineering delivery model.

The deployment includes enterprise-grade governance controls — organisation-wide privacy modes, centralised administration, and policy enforcement — to manage AI usage across development teams. NTT Data plans a phased expansion: priority engineering teams first, followed by a global rollout, with a dedicated Cursor Centre of Excellence to standardise the platform's use across its industry practices. The capabilities will later be extended to joint clients.

NTT Data CEO Abhijit Dubey described the partnership as putting AI at the core of the company's engineering and delivery model, enabling faster modernisation and greater consistency at scale. Cursor COO Jordan Topoleski noted that NTT Data is putting AI at the centre of how engineers modernise complex systems.
