The entry-level device inherits key Galaxy AI features that were previously reserved for premium and mid-range models, signaling a strategic push to democratise AI-powered smartphone tools in one of Southeast Asia's most competitive mobile markets.
The Galaxy A27 5G runs on a Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor paired with a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display at 120Hz. It packs a 5,000mAh battery with 25W fast charging and an IP64 dust and water resistance rating. On the AI front, users get Circle to Search with Google for visual discovery, an Object Eraser tool for photo editing, AI-powered Voice Transcription in the Voice Recorder app, and native access to Google Gemini and Perplexity AI assistants. Samsung has also upgraded Bixby with conversational natural-language capabilities and phone controls. The device ships with One UI 8.5 on Android 16 and promises six generations of OS upgrades plus six years of security updates backed by Samsung Knox Vault.
