QAI Ventures has launched Singapore's first quantum accelerator, a five-month programme backed by Enterprise Singapore. Four startups selected from 63 applicants across 12 countries will each receive S$300,000 in investment, coaching, and access to quantum computing resources.

QAI Ventures has launched Singapore's first dedicated quantum accelerator, a five-month programme backed by Enterprise Singapore that aims to turn quantum research into commercial ventures. The inaugural cohort of four startups was selected from 63 applicants across 12 countries, signalling strong regional demand for quantum-focused acceleration in Asia-Pacific.
The programme, running from July to October 2026, includes four masterclass weeks, weekly one-to-one coaching, and culminates in an Investor Day and Demo Day. Each startup receives an investment package worth S$300,000 and 12 months of workspace in Singapore. The four selected companies operate in cryogenic quantum hardware, adaptive neurostimulation, photonic-chip manufacturing, and sustainable advanced materials across Netherlands, Armenia, the US, and Indonesia.
QAI Ventures established its Asia-Pacific headquarters in Singapore in September 2025 and has seen its portfolio companies raise over US$250 million in follow-on funding from investors including IBM, GitHub, Toshiba, and the European Investment Bank. Alexandra Beckstein, CEO of QAI Ventures, noted that Singapore's early and patient bet on quantum technology is now translating into a maturing commercial opportunity. EnterpriseSG's Sophia Ng said the programme provides a launchpad for international quantum startups entering the region.
Why it matters for Singapore: This accelerator fills a critical gap in Singapore's deep-tech ecosystem by bridging quantum research and commercial deployment. Until now, quantum startups in the region had limited structured pathways to market entry. By backing this programme through EnterpriseSG and aligning it with the National Quantum Strategy, Singapore positions itself as the gateway for quantum and advanced computing ventures targeting the broader APAC market.
