Six Southeast Asian marketing associations have formed the Asia Admarcom Alliance to coordinate on AI-driven industry changes, with Singapore's AAMS as a founding member and the inaugural conference held in Singapore.

Six of Southeast Asia's leading advertising and marketing associations have joined forces to launch the Asia Admarcom Alliance, a cross-border network aimed at helping the industry keep pace with the rapid rise of AI in marketing. Signed in Singapore on July 9 at the inaugural Beyond Boundaries conference, the alliance brings together associations from Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam and Indonesia to coordinate on talent development, technological innovation, and shared resources.
The founding members are the Association of Advertising & Marketing Singapore, the Malaysian Digital Association, the Digital Marketing Association of the Philippines, the MarTech Association of Thailand, Vietnam MarTech, and the Indonesian Digital Association. Senior Minister of State for Digital Development and Information Tan Kiat How witnessed the signing and told attendees that AI had made content creation easier, making trust and human connection increasingly valuable differentiators. "Technology can help us create content. But earning trust and moving hearts remain deeply human crafts," he said.
Tan added that future marketing leaders will need to become "bilingual" — combining creativity, storytelling and cultural understanding with expertise in AI, data and algorithms. AAMS president Chloe Neo said the alliance aims to address fragmentation across regional markets and build a marketing ecosystem that is resilient and globally competitive. The Beyond Boundaries conference, organised by AAMS, focused on AI, content and data as the core forces reshaping the marketing landscape.
Why it matters for Singapore: Singapore's role as host and founding member of the Admarcom Alliance reinforces its position as a regional hub for AI-driven marketing innovation. The collaboration acknowledges that AI is reshaping the industry faster than any single market can adapt alone — and that the winners will be those who combine AI's speed with uniquely human judgment and empathy. For Singapore's marketing and creative sectors, the alliance creates a structured channel for cross-border expertise sharing that smaller markets find hard to access individually.
