Yealink, a global top-3 provider of unified communications and collaboration solutions, has officially opened its upgraded Singapore Global Operational Headquarters and a new Customer Experience Center (CEC) in the city-state. The move marks a significant milestone in the company's 25-year history and its strategy to deepen its operational presence across 140+ countries from a Singapore base. The ceremony was attended by representatives from Microsoft, the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB), and AVIXA.
Singapore serves as the operational hub for Yealink's Management Cloud Service (YMCS), and the upgraded HQ will support the company's global cloud services, trusted operations, and localised customer engagement. The new Customer Experience Center provides hands-on product demonstrations, training programmes, and collaborative working spaces for partners and customers. Yealink Executive Vice President Jay Liu said Singapore's "strong legal environment, advanced data governance capabilities, and robust R&D ecosystem" make it an ideal base for the company's global expansion.
EDB's Vice President for Global Enterprises, Ng Ming Liang, noted that Yealink's decision "reflects Singapore's position as a trusted base for global expansion" and that the city-state's "business environment, R&D ecosystem, and skilled talent pool will support Yealink in driving innovative digital collaboration solutions." The upgraded HQ is expected to strengthen Yealink's cloud service delivery and customer engagement capabilities across Asia and beyond.
Why it matters for Singapore: Yealink's HQ upgrade is another validation of Singapore's value proposition as a global operational hub for tech companies. For a top-3 player in the $50B+ unified communications market to choose Singapore for its global cloud operations and customer experience centre — and to publicly cite the city-state's legal framework and data governance as deciding factors — reinforces a narrative that goes beyond tax incentives. It signals that Singapore's institutional strengths are increasingly what attract and retain global tech headquarters, not just regional sales offices. Coupled with the EDB's active endorsement, this deal adds to a growing list of tech companies expanding their Singapore operational mandates.
