ASUS has unveiled the ExpertBook Ultra in Singapore, positioning it as the company's flagship AI-ready business laptop designed for professionals who need extreme portability without compromising on processing power or security. Launched at the Next Enterprise Summit 2026, the 14-inch machine weighs as little as 0.99kg and measures just 10.9mm thick, making it one of the lightest enterprise-grade laptops on the market while packing Intel's latest Core Ultra X9 processor with dedicated NPU for on-device AI workloads.

The launch arrives as Singapore-based enterprises accelerate their AI adoption, creating demand for hardware that can support local AI processing without relying entirely on cloud infrastructure. The ExpertBook Ultra's heterogeneous architecture — combining CPU, GPU, and NPU resources — allows it to handle AI-assisted workflows directly on the device, from real-time transcription and translation (via the MyExpert AI suite) to running smaller language models locally. Its ExpertCool Pro cooling system sustains a 50W CPU TDP, unusually high for an ultra-light chassis, ensuring sustained performance during intensive AI tasks.

Business buyers will also find a comprehensive security package: compliance with NIST SP 800-193 firmware resiliency standards, a self-healing BIOS via the ExpertGuardian platform, TPM 2.0, Microsoft Pluton, chassis intrusion detection, and Secured-core PC compliance. The laptop also features a spill-resistant keyboard, a physical webcam shield, and a 70Wh battery rated for up to 26 hours of video playback with 50% charge in 30 minutes. On the display front, ASUS opted for a 3K Tandem OLED touchscreen running at up to 120Hz with 1,400 nits peak HDR brightness and an anti-glare finish rated at just 19 gloss units.

Why it matters for Singapore: The ExpertBook Ultra's launch in Singapore underscores how hardware vendors are responding to the city-state's accelerating enterprise AI adoption. With Singapore positioning itself as a regional hub for AI deployment across finance, logistics, and professional services, the availability of lightweight, secure, AI-capable business hardware matters for on-the-ground productivity. The device's emphasis on both AI readiness and enterprise-grade security reflects a market reality that Singapore businesses know well: AI adoption cannot come at the cost of data protection, especially in regulated sectors.
