Avnet is bringing together more than a dozen global technology partners for its Edge & Beyond Tech Day on July 10 in Singapore, aiming to tackle the gap between AI experimentation and real-world edge deployment. The event, hosted at Sheraton Towers Singapore, will focus on architecture, integration, and scaling challenges that enterprises face when moving AI models from proof-of-concept into production environments.

The gathering arrives as Singapore's digital economy contributes 18.6 percent of GDP, and 56 percent of companies here report measurable progress toward scaled AI adoption, according to EDB data. Avnet's regional president for South Asia and Korea, Tan Aik Hoon, noted that access to technology is no longer the primary hurdle — instead, the practicalities of running complex AI models efficiently and reliably at the edge have become the central challenge for most organisations.

The tech day features speakers from AI Singapore, Nanyang Polytechnic, and Weston Robot, alongside demonstrations from partners including AMD, Micron, NXP, Renesas, STMicroelectronics, and others spanning the full AI value chain — from silicon and connectivity to power management and industrial-grade storage. Topics include real-time edge intelligence, robotics and physical AI innovation, and embedded AI platforms for scalable system deployment.
