Digital payments firm Checkout.com has partnered with Singapore-headquartered travel platform Agoda to deploy AI-powered payment optimisation across six million properties worldwide. The partnership uses Checkout.com's Intelligent Acceptance AI to reduce failed transactions and improve approval rates for global travel bookings.

Checkout.com, a global digital payments company, has partnered with Singapore-based travel platform Agoda to deliver AI-optimised payment infrastructure that processes transactions across more than six million hotels and holiday properties worldwide. The partnership centres on Checkout.com’s Intelligent Acceptance, a proprietary AI solution that uses real-time network data to route payments intelligently and reduce false declines.
Agoda, part of Booking Holdings and headquartered in Singapore with over 7,000 staff across 27 markets, processes complex cross-border, multi-currency, and high-volume transactions daily. Its partnership with Checkout.com strengthens virtual card issuing capabilities for supplier payments, achieving a 0% downtime record while maintaining clear oversight and control across its issuing operations.
The AI-driven Intelligent Acceptance system works alongside Network Tokens and Real-Time Account Updater to enhance approval rates across the travel payment flow. This is particularly important for travel platforms operating across diverse markets, where currency conversion, regional payment preferences, and fraud detection rules vary significantly.
