The MAS-launched sustainability platform Gprnt has partnered with the Singapore Exchange (SGX) to bring AI-powered tools to the ESGenome digital disclosure portal, making it easier for listed companies to meet mandatory climate reporting requirements. The announcement was made at the inaugural SGX Group-Gprnt Climate Action Forum, officiated by Minister for Sustainability and the Environment Grace Fu.

ESGenome, which SGX and MAS started in 2022, will now feature climate-related disclosure (CRD) modules developed in consultation with government agencies, complete with guided workflows and plain-language prompts for companies starting their climate reporting journey. The portal has been fully migrated onto the Gprnt platform, allowing users to automate Scope 1 and 2 emissions calculations using trusted government data. Phased AI-powered capabilities are also planned for disclosure preparation, climate risk assessments, and transition plan development.

The partnership extends beyond compliance — it connects ESGenome with the Council for a Competitive Climate Transition (C3T) and the Green 100 national movement, encouraging large listed companies to act as "Queen Bees" that mobilise suppliers and partners to adopt basic sustainability reporting. This creates a data pipeline for Scope 3 emissions tracking and unlocks green financing opportunities.

Gprnt CEO Lionel Wong said the platform has evolved from a sustainability reporting tool into a "common infrastructure for nationwide disclosures," reducing fragmentation for companies of all sizes. SGX's Chan Kum Kong noted that the enhanced portal is "not just climate action — it’s part of value unlock" for companies integrating climate risks into strategy.

Why it matters for Singapore: With mandatory climate reporting phasing in for listed companies, AI-powered tools like the enhanced ESGenome reduce the compliance burden while improving data quality. Singapore positions itself as a regional hub for sustainability finance, where automated disclosures and transition planning become competitive advantages rather than regulatory chores. The Gprnt–SGX partnership shows how government-launched digital infrastructure can scale through market collaboration.
