EnterpriseSG and UOB Launch F&B AI and Digital Integration Programme

Enterprise Singapore and UOB have launched the Food & Beverage AI and Digital Integration Programme, a two-year initiative to help at least 200 Singapore F&B businesses adopt AI-powered and integrated digital systems. Announced on 15 July 2026 at Restaurant Asia 2026 by Senior Minister of State for Trade and Industry Low Yen Ling, the programme targets the fragmented technology landscape that many local F&B operators contend with — separate platforms for ordering, inventory, payments, and customer engagement that create inefficiencies and limit data usage.

Many small and medium-sized F&B businesses in Singapore currently rely on disconnected digital tools that make it difficult to gain a unified view of operations. The programme will provide advisory support to help operators identify and implement AI solutions that can automate routine processes, forecast demand more accurately, and improve customer service. By connecting previously siloed systems, businesses can consolidate operational data and make faster, more informed decisions in areas like stock management and staffing.

The launch comes at a time when Singapore's F&B sector faces rising operating costs, persistent manpower constraints, and shifting consumer expectations. Policymakers have increasingly positioned digitalisation as a route to productivity growth, and this programme extends that push into one of the city-state's most labour-intensive service industries. The initiative also aligns with broader national efforts to accelerate enterprise AI adoption, complementing existing programmes like AI bootcamps and sector-specific transformation schemes.

Beyond immediate operational fixes, the programme is designed to build longer-term capability within the sector. Integrated digital infrastructure can help businesses respond more effectively to demand fluctuations, support expansion into new service models such as central kitchens or delivery-only concepts, and improve continuity planning. Participating businesses will be encouraged to adopt data-driven operating models as part of Singapore's wider digital economy strategy.
