StarHub's youth-focused brand giga! has launched gigaFLEX+, a mobile plan that bundles unlimited access to ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini directly into a S$13.90 monthly subscription — putting three leading AI models in the pocket of every Singaporean aged 15 to 29.

The plan, announced on 17 June 2026, reflects how telcos are increasingly embedding AI access as a core feature rather than a premium add-on, targeting the demographic that already uses AI at rates 35% higher than StarHub's broader customer base.
Beyond AI access, gigaFLEX+ includes 800GB of 5G data usable across Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Thailand with monthly rollover, 22GB of roaming data, and a monthly PlayMade bubble tea. The S$13.90 pricing is a promotional rate for the first 12 months, limited to the first 9,999 sign-ups, after which it renews at S$19.90. Singpass verification ensures eligibility is restricted to the youth demographic. The plan is part of giga's broader gigaSURPRISE campaign, which StarHub vice president Vikas Chanani said was shaped by insights showing youths are the most dynamic and fast-evolving segment in Singapore's AI adoption curve.
The move positions giga! as one of the first Singapore telco brands to offer multi-model AI subscriptions as a standard plan feature rather than a bolt-on. While competitors have launched AI-powered customer service and network optimisation tools, gigaFLEX+ puts the AI tools themselves directly in subscribers' hands, effectively turning the mobile plan into an AI access pass with connectivity as the foundation. The unlimited access model across three competing AI platforms — OpenAI's ChatGPT, Anthropic's Claude, and Google's Gemini — also removes the decision friction of choosing a single provider.
Why it matters for Singapore: Singapore's youth are adopting AI faster than any other demographic, and gigaFLEX+ meets them where they already are — on their phones. By bundling AI subscriptions into mobile plans, StarHub is effectively subsidising AI literacy for a generation that will enter the workforce over the next decade. With AI skills commanding wage premiums of 32% or more across Singapore's job market, widespread access to leading models during formative years could meaningfully narrow the AI skills gap. It also signals that Singapore's telcos see AI not as a cost centre but as a competitive differentiator worth baking into their core consumer products.
