Singapore-based GEO (Generative Engine Optimisation) firm XstraStar has introduced a new measurement framework called G-Power, designed to help brands quantify how effectively they appear and are recommended across generative AI platforms. Announced on July 3, G-Power assigns brands a 0-100 composite score based on four weighted dimensions: Visibility, Depth, Recommendation, and Competitiveness — moving beyond simple mention-counting toward a more nuanced understanding of brand presence in AI-generated answers.

The framework addresses a growing gap in brand measurement. As users increasingly rely on AI tools like ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini for product research and purchasing decisions, being mentioned in an AI response is no longer enough. XstraStar's approach evaluates whether a brand is simply named or meaningfully introduced (Depth), whether the AI presents it in a positive recommendation context (Recommendation), and how it performs relative to competing brands in the same answer (Competitiveness). Visibility carries the highest weight at 35%, with Depth and Recommendation each at 25%, and Competitiveness at 15%.

G-Power is the centrepiece of XstraStar's 2026 GEO methodology white paper, which lays out a structured approach for brands to diagnose gaps in AI search visibility, improve content coverage, and build AI-friendly digital assets. XstraStar positions itself as a GEO-driven organic traffic growth service provider for what it calls the "AI search era" — helping companies connect AI recommendations with measurable website traffic and conversion pathways.

The launch reflects a broader shift in digital marketing. Traditional SEO focused on Google rankings; GEO addresses the emerging reality where AI assistants synthesise information and recommend products without users ever visiting a search engine results page. For Singapore-based companies competing in global markets, understanding how AI models perceive and rank their brands is becoming as important as traditional keyword optimisation. XstraStar's framework gives them a structured tool to measure and improve that perception.

Why it matters for Singapore: XstraStar's G-Power framework puts a Singapore-founded company at the forefront of a nascent but fast-growing discipline — Generative Engine Optimisation. As AI-powered search reshapes how consumers discover brands globally, Singapore's digital marketing and tech services ecosystem stands to gain if local firms can establish thought leadership in this space early. The framework also signals that Singapore is producing not just AI consumers but AI-era infrastructure providers, a positive signal for the city-state's ambition to build a full-spectrum AI economy beyond hardware and research.
