When HP launched Garage 2.0 in Singapore last year, the program was designed to find startups building the next generation of AI-powered experiences for personal computing. The first cohort has now produced its first direct investment: HP has invested in Singapore-based Wubble.ai to develop an on-device AI audio creation application for its consumer PCs and gaming products.
The investment, whose value was not disclosed, follows Wubble.ai's participation in Garage 2.0's inaugural cohort. Wubble.ai provides tools that generate music, speech, and sound effects from text-based instructions — users describe the audio they need and refine the output through a conversational interface. Its web application also includes stem separation, which divides audio tracks into components like vocals, drums, bass, and other instruments. The planned HP application will run at least part of Wubble.ai's audio-generation workload on-device rather than relying entirely on cloud infrastructure, leveraging the PC's CPU, GPU, or neural processing unit depending on the task.
The structure of the deal is notable: it is tied to five milestones covering application development, deployment through eligible HP products, and expansion into additional markets. As the milestones are completed, HP can obtain up to 5% equity in Wubble.ai. The companies did not disclose the timeline for the milestones or how the potential stake is divided among them. The application will be introduced through a complimentary three-month subscription with eligible HP OmniBook, All-in-One, OMEN, and HyperX gaming products purchased between July 28 and October 30, 2026, across Singapore, Southeast Asia, South Korea, and Australia.
The investment reflects a broader strategy at HP to move AI inference closer to the device. "The future of AI will be hybrid. Not every AI workload belongs in the cloud, and as AI moves closer to the device, the PC is evolving from a passive productivity tool into a more intelligent access point for new experiences," said Ketan Patel, president of Personal Systems at HP Inc. Wubble.ai founder and CEO Anand Roy said the partnership allows the startup to introduce its audio creation experience "through the devices people already rely on."
